Research Areas
Dr. Amit Singh
Microbial Pathogenesis
Our research activities are aimed at understanding the fundamental mechanisms involved in chronic human infections. We are focusing our efforts on dissecting how redox signaling controls virulence properties of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Dr. Shashank Tripathi
Our group studies virus-host interactions of emerging human RNA viruses including Influenza, SARS-CoV-2, and Flaviviruses. We strive to translate this knowledge for the development of broad-spectrum antivirals and vaccines. Our expertise is in the multi-omics analysis of virus-host interactions, viral reverse genetics, and small animal models of viral pathogenesis.
Dr. Vidya Mangala Prasad
Dr.Vidya Mangala Prasad Joined Molecular Biophysics Unit Department of Indian Institute of science as Assistant professor on Dec 1st 2021. she has been selected as the Infosys Young Investigator by the Indian Institute of Science and Infosys Foundation, 2022. Her lab at the Indian Institute of Science focuses on high resolution structural analysis of human disease causing viruses, their infection machinery and mechanisms of cellular entry across membranes using cryo-electron tomography, sub-tomogram averaging, single-particle cryo-electron microscopy and other biophysical as well as molecular methods.
